Marianne Schönbach has worked in the publishing and book industry for more than 20 years. She has been an acquiring editor of German and foreign fiction, a publisher, a critic, a translator and a member of several literary panels and juries. She completed her studies (Roman languages and literature, publicity and modern history) in Mainz (Germany) and in Aix-en-Provence (France). In 2001 she began her literary agency in Amsterdam and welcomed her first client, Piper Verlag. She reads the following languages: German, French, English, Spanish and Dutch.
Diana Gvozden: joined the agency in 2017 after beginning her career in book publishing at Vassallucci. She has many years of experience on the editorial side, having worked as commissioning editor or publisher for both commercial and literary houses such as Lebowski, Unieboek | Het Spectrum, Agathon and Hollands Diep for fourteen years. Diana is a primary agent for Dutch authors and a co-agent representing international clients.
Marlous Mettes: has been responsible for the contracts, rights, royalties and special sales since January 2017. Before, Marlous worked as an employee of the contracts and rights department of Luitingh-Sijthoff.
Mirjam Teengs Schenck: Marianne’s personal assistant & office manager. She deals with production requests, manages the diaries and supervises all sorts of other daily business. Before joining the agency she was an office manager and internal sales representative at Maarten Muntinga publishers.
Stijn de Vries: Literary Agent. For the past three-and-a-half years Stijn has worked at Lebowski Publishers – starting out as the publisher’s assistant, soon after that as editor of translated fiction. Stijn has a Bachelor’s degree in Spanish Language and Culture, and a Master’s degree in Literature and Cultural Criticism. Within the agency Stijn will focus mostly on children’s books and YA, but he will also represent a selection of adult titles.
