David Samwel Bol was born in Thailand and adopted by a Dutch family in 1996. He came to the Netherlands with nothing but the name Singha – Thai for ‘lion’ and grew up in a village close to Nijmegen. He is managing director at the FS Agency and Head of Business Affairs for his partner, author Thomas Olde Heuvelt. His debut Dear Singa was published in October 2021 by Meulenhoff.
