Ivo Roodbergen (Amsterdam, 1986) works as independent journalist and writer. He studied political sciences at the University of Amsterdam, is a big sports fan and is always in search of stories that combine sports and politics. Ivo works a editor in chief for various national and regional media, and also writes for specialist sports and trade journals.

Ivo wrote the book Anoush (2023), published by Thomas Rap. For this book, he followed Anoush Dastgir for four years and traveled with the Afghan football men during their World Cup qualifiers.
