Martijn J. Adelmund (1977) has finished a degree in Culture Sciences & Linguistics and has since then worked for several publishing houses. As an author, he mainly wrote non-fiction, but this changed in 2011 when his first children’s book was published: The Magical Lantern.
This book marked the beginning of the Grim Collective, an artistic duo formed by author Martijn and illustrator Iris Compiet. The collective is currently working on the last instalment in a series of novels about witches, targeted at young adults. Both the first and the second book in the series, Witch Delusion and Witch Child, won the prestigious Hebban Fantasy Award.
