Sander Verheijen (1974) is general manager and editor-in-chief of the book community, graphic designer, and author. After years of working as a marketing and communication professional at (among others) Siemens, he founded the thriller website, in 2002. In 2005 he sold the website and started as a commissioning editor at the thriller department of Unieboek Publishers. In 2010 he returned to Crimezone as editor-in-chief. Together with Kim Moelands he wrote two compendia on the thriller genre: Crimezone (Ambo|Anthos, 2005) and Crimezone 2006 (Uitgeverij Unieboek, 2006), as well as seven editions of Crimezone Magazine (2012-2014).

In November 2017 his debut, Ik kan er nét niet bij was published by HarperCollins Holland. The book tells about his first years as the father of a special twin: one born with severe brain damage, the other is on the autism spectrum. Ik kan er nét niet bij is a moving, but especially hopeful and humorous book. The audio book, read by Rik van de Westelaken, was gifted to readers during the Week of the Audio Book 2018. The book received rave reviews.

Sander writes for Aktueel, Lotje & Co,, Stichting BOSK and for his own website. He is currently working on his first thriller.
