Journalist and author Twan Huys wrote the #1 bestseller Het Droompad and is the creator and host of the television program College Tour. For over fifteen years, he has joined students in interviewing remarkable guests who have made a name for themselves in their respective fields; guests have included Bill Gates, Louis van Gaal, Margaret Atwood, Whoopi Goldberg, Richard Gere, Usain Bolt, and former Israeli President Shimon Peres.

Between 1999 and 2007, Twan served as a correspondent in New York City for the current affairs program NOVA and the NOS. He reported on the 9/11 attacks and was the face of the Netherlands in America. From 2007 to 2018, he presented Nieuwsuur, and he is currently the host of Buitenhof.

In addition to his television work, Twan is the author of eight books and the director of the documentary Ankie, de Olympische Weduwe. His book Ik ben een New Yorker sold over 50,000 copies. As a speaker, he appears on major stages across the Netherlands—sharp, inquisitive, and always personal.
